Socks. Of the Future.

Some socks of the future.
Because who
wouldn't
want to wear the Regia "brasil colours" !?

Margaret, i hope you like the Radiator !

spring is here

It really feels like spring time today.
Now, i appreciate that this isn't the
most tantalizing photo.
However, it sums everything up.
Here, near my computer is a lilac "bush".
And yes, there is still snow on the ground -

here are some birds singing the most
wonderful Hello-To-Spring songs.
It's fabulous.

symposium

Tomorrow, i will be attending the
symposium at the Musee d'art contemporain/
montreal contemporary arts museum
.

"arts of memory, materials, media, mythologie"

Wednesday morning

It's snowing !
a lovely, gentle spring snowfall this morning.
Granted, here in the city

we only had a tiny dusting.

it dangerously
disguises the icey spots outside.

something purple and soft

This is Shepherd Sock
wool
, by Lorna's Laces.
It is my very
first time to use
this lovely yarn.

And now I finally
know why everyone
has made such a big fuss over this.
It really IS so soft and
lovely to knit with.
The colours are absolutely luscious.
and the Knitting Companion loves it too.

in the mood

Blogger is in the mood to be rude these days,
and I am having a frustrating &
difficult time uploading photos to share

here. The Knitting Companion and I
have some wonderful soft new yarn to
show you. When the Blog site is in a
more generous mood you'll be able to see it.

Happy first Whole day of spring in
the Northern hemisphere.

Welcome to spring

It's Officially Springtime !
and we're expecting snow tomorrow here in Montreal.
Not to worry, it won't be much longer before all the snow is gone.
You can't tell that from my back garden.

giant ball of Mohair

To welcome
springtime, I have this
Giant ball of lace-weight mohair.
It is made up of over 1,000 metres of bright
green. Bits of ochre and moss are mixed in
for a lovely cheerful green.
