a very grey friday ...

i just received a rejection letter.
worse than that, it was an email.

i think i might ask the Knitting Companion
for consolation.

this calls
for a nice bowl of coffee.
and then i need to get back to work.

friday

it's been raining for a week.
Enough already !

Green tea

I love green tea.
I love the way
it tastes in a porcelain cup.
this is one of my favourite cups by
a talented
artist named Wai Ming.

fresh

Yesterday, between rainshowers,
the Knitting Companion and i picked
some flowers from the garden.
He doesn't like being out in the rain.

Monday in the garden.

i think it's such a beautiful sight
to see waves of Forget-me-nots in bloom.
Hello from the garden, where it's been
raining, for the most part for three days straight.

thank you to everyone for the lovely comments.
The Knitting Companion does indeed see signs of
wildlife through the fence.
Not feline, however. this time it was a squirrel.

Garden boy

The knitting companion is very fond
of his time in the garden.

Happy Mother's day

In Canada and the United States,
today is Mother's Day.
Happy mother's day to all the moms.

The bleeding hearts in my garden
have started to bloom.

Now it's time
for a bowl of cafe au lait ....
