vogue
I just heard that the Vogue Knitting International
fall issue
has been released. I wonder if it's here
in the neighbourhood yet ?
i heard there is a photo of one of my pieces.
Wooohuuuu !
Where are we and what day is it ?
well, yesterday's post was titled Friday.
it wasn't friday yesterday (not here in Montreal).
Today is Friday.
The Real Friday (not like my yesteray friday)
Now for a little textile related
photographic catch up....
Gill gave me some wonderful Colinette yarns
when we got together this week.
Colinette is available in Canada,
but only here & there (as opposed to Everywhere)
and only in a FEW shades
and only in a few yarns.
Of course, in the UK they have
a much larger (think vast) selection.
Just imagine the colours ....
So here, feast your eyes on this:

Here is a lovely ball of "Fleece Artist"
superwash wool.
The ball isn't that big right now;
but i'm still loving this wool and loving the colours.
It's just delicious to work with.
There it is in my Knitting-to-Go bag.

a Tuesday like No other
So much has happened today.
photos to follow, but not right now.
it's been a very amazing day.
gladly, there was a digital camera on loan.
I got to meet Gill of An Elegant Sufficiency
fame.
We had a marvellous time.
better than words can describe.
The time flew by. One of those
times when you really want to push
the "pause" button ...
right now i'm going to work on
a little knit project. Knit with actual
wool, not with metals tonight.

Intelligent words from E. R.
I love this quote from Eleanor Roosevelt:
Do what you
feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be
criticized anyway.
You'll be damned if you do, and damned if you don't.
Eleanor Roosevelt
for Monday -
Friendship with oneself is all-important,
because without it one
cannot be friends with anyone else in the world.
Eleanor Roosevelt
Hello on Monday

it's going to be another very busy week.
People to see, things to do, things to make.
Lots of work.
and - a social event tomorrow. I'm meeting
Gill for the very first time.
Really am feeling the loss of digital camera.
Miss it so much more than i thought i would.
Back to work now.
No .... i think i'll make a cup of tea first.
