The Anticipation of the peonies

The month of June
will see the blooms on our peony bushes.
The knitting companion and i
await them with anticipation.


We're also growing some herbs.

many people have written
about the cupcakes.
I cannot take credit for making them -
I didn't make them. i did
make the icing for them and add the sparkly sugar.

and i did my part to eat them. I was quite
successful in that endeavour.

There was no Special Occasion for the cupcakes.
the house cooking/baking-enthusiast
wanted to try out some new recipes.

It was marvellous.

Oh ! and yes, the hat ! i must get photos from the
artist - he had arranged for a photographer. Apparently, my
new little chapeau did find its way into some of the photos
on vernissage night.

it's already june ...

I haven't actually fallen off the earth.
instead, i
have been busy working.
Managed to get very sore shoulders & neck
from too many hours at the computer.
this is one of the "don't try this at home" lessons.

Now, i haven't looked at anyone's
blog in about three weeks. but that shouldn't stop
you from knowing about Mona's news.
