bye bye to the bridge

i've never really liked
driving over huge long bridges.

but the Pont Champlain
(champlain bridge) that connects Montreal to the
"south shore" of Quebec
is an important part of my life here in Montreal.
It connects the Knitting Companion and i
with his fuzzy white brother.

Afternoons & mornings have special
time restrictions for buses to travel
"the wrong way" on the bridge to help
the flow of rush hour traffic.

Here is my last time to visit the bridge
with Bus-Wrong-way
traffic.

the Giller Prize is an annual award
presented for a Canadian short story collection or novel.
It's a very big deal.

Things to do

This is a part of my
"things to do, right now" List:

• sort out house. (long affair, this one)
• figure out what can Possibly be left behind
• have Knitting Companion's hair cut
• pack up house
• sell car
• obtain a cellphone
• rent a car
• list house for sale
• sell house
• say goodbye to Everyone
• pack up car and drive to usa
• exchange car because
you can't rent a car in Montreal
to drive all the way to California
• drive for at least a week until reaching San francisco
• take photos and send post cards along the way

so good to find some west coast Knitters

i've found a knit group in San francisco.

In a few days,
i'll be on the Road. Like Jack Kerouac, but not.

Tic tic, tic....

You may be acquainted with people
who own a lot of stuff.
Perhaps you know some artists - who
seem to own an Awful Lot of ... stuff.
I am one of those people. For many people,
having to organize, and just DEAL
with your stuff is stressful.

The movers arrive on monday.
i have a lot of organising to accomplish by then.
You can well imagine that i am stressed,
and constantly hear the clock ticking, just
over my shoulder.

Oh, and how's this for amusing irony?,
i'm moving into a one
bedroom

apartment.
