I'm trying to find a place to
get my hair done.
i'm looking for salons
on the internet.
Boy this takes a long time.
This afternoon, the Knitting Companion
and i chatted with a very friendly police officer.
He (police guy) is a member of the Canine force.
His dog is at home this week, under the weather.
He's pretty lonely for his work-companion.
I could relate to that. It's stinky having
to work without your fuzzy "better half".
i can't begin
to describe what a wonderful
feeling it is ... to use the computer
without having to sit on the floor
in the closet.
I do love Paul.

We received our (small) shipment
of house-things yesterday.
The Knitting Companion
and i are so happy to have some
things from home. And i'm happy to have
more clothes. However, my jackets and coats
did not make it into the shipment.
and that's not a good thing. It's quite chilly
here today and i could use more than
a small, short jacket.

i have a lot of Just-moved-in
jobs to do over the next week. And
i need to get a california drivers
licence.
There is a Christmas tree in the lobby
of our apartment building.
I still can't believe i'm going to be
here, in an apartment in California,
for Christmas.
And of course, without any snow.
The Knitting Companion has not
yet noticed the Christmas tree. We're
both a bit tired and punchy.
I've been waiting for the shipment
(delivery by truck, not by ship) of our
clothes. and a few household items.
and Knitting. Of course, knitting.
Very nice Bernie of the local company
who will be arranging my delivery called
to say they still haven't received my shipment.
They were expecting it to have
arrived on Monday. Bernie and i spoke
again this morning. I was quite hopeful
when i heard his voice on the phone.
But no, Bernie was calling to say they
still haven't seen my truck yet.
Please let it be found.

News update:
i Love Paul.
Paul of AT & T gave great tech support over
the phone.
Now i'm not even sitting on the floor.
I'm not even in the closet to use the computer.
Life will be better.

It's a lovely sunny day here in San Francisco.
I'll be posting more photos later on ...
but not until After
my tech support. Oh, and after i tackle some
laundry.
And for those of you who want to know
about the Cars....
i saw an awful lot of trucks on the road,
no fancy cars.
However, now that i'm
in California that's all changed.
there are fancy cars everywhere. I'll be sure to
take my camera with me later this week and
show you some of the Porsches i come across.
