well.
my friend has flown back home to montreal.
It was marvellous and fun to have
company.
(yes, there she is, pictured above.
She's laughing because we're both
so cold. She's wearing
two sweaters and a sturdy coat & she's looking for
her gloves. You can guess the weather here is
not spring like by my standards)
it's hard to be here without her.
so today i took myself out for
consolation food.

after a great amount
of drama and far too many events,
the poodle and i have moved to a new abode.
We're tired to say the least.
Among other frustrations,
we've had a lot of fiddley problems with
the internet in the new abode:
it doesn't work in the house
unless you sit in one spot in a particular direction.
We're trying to get that ironed out.
. . . So i haven't been
active with anything "plugged in".
My email has been sadly neglected, and i hope that
my inbox is still recognizable.
As you can guess with any major
move, Knitting Companion
and i are up to our Elbows
(olecrane if you want
to be medically technical) in Big boxes.
For this weekend, we're going to be
Not-Unpacking, but having some
well deserved Leisure time.
We have a special friend here
to help us through the hectic and
crazy time. Phew ! !
