The Fuzzy guy ....

The Knitting Companion
has been in an
Exceptionally Cuddley
mood this week.

And he was very enthusiastic
when some new yarn came out for swatching.
It's a wool & cashemere blend. So very soft.
Just his style.
It's a lovely yarn by "Hand Maiden Fine Yarn".

think about this ...

"Great is the art of beginning,
but greater is the art of ending."

(Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)

thanks to Dorothy & George
for the lovely flowers.

and, the photo below shows
proof there has been a bit of
drawing going on at the table the
past two weeks.
That's my "special" pig cup that
comes out for good art days.

"Motivation is in the world around us.
We have an infinite amount
of material at our
disposal,
in the lives of those we meet,

in what we see, feel
and discuss."

Be with yourself

"I am now quite cured of society,
be it country or town.

A sensible man
ought to find

sufficient company in himself."

(Emily Bronte)

I truly believe that there are times
when you need to work on your own.
This is not to say that you don't need friends
or companionship.

The ability to work on your own
can help you sort out your thoughts,
your training, your pathway. To apply
what you've learned and what you know.
Working in a group is a wonderful
opportunity. i believe it's important
to be able to work to your own beat when
you most need to.

right said

"Watercolour painting is notoriously difficult,"
said Walter J. Phillips, "so much depends on
directness and speed, and certainty of intention.
Tentative or fumbling touches are disastrous,
for they cannot be obliterated easily."
