on the needles

Goodness: Actual knitting content.

The Knitting Companion
has been supervising
some sock creations.
he is quite fond of the
Casbah yarn. and i am too.

I have to sew in the ends
and they'll be ready to wear tomorrow.
There is enough yarn left over to make ...
part of one sock. Hmmm.

There are some other socks
in the making. No Dramatic
photos yet.

what do you do after Breakfast

The fuzzy Standard poodle,
the Knitting Companion, enjoys

his Post-Breakfast, post play-time nap.
Breakfast is usually
followed by a short but rousing
game of "catch the (toy) chipmunk"
or lately, "wrestle and growl
with the large grey (toy) sheep".

Games are very important.

something smells good in the kitchen

instead of Smurfs,

cards, plants or paintings,

there has been some baking
going on in the kitchen.

Rare ?
yes.
and yummy.

Peanut butter cookies.

And may i confide to
you that they taste
excptional when paired
with Grand Marnier.

I kid you not.

Knitting Companion update

The Knitting Companion and i have
been sharing a lot of VeryTogether
time this week.
He's a great sport and of course,
a stellar Companion.
We've even been
knitting. And watching movies.

Today is a birthday for
Mrs. B. ! Many happy Returns of the Day
(and season)

monday

being alone, working alone

"In my isolation I grow stronger,"
said Paul Gauguin.

"My work is always better when I'm alone
and follow my own impressions,"

said Claude Monet.

"If the artist is serious he must sink himself in solitude,"
said Edgar Degas.

Sometimes, working alone is fantastic.
i recently signed up for a painting workshop.
it was .... a lot different than i was expecting.
and it confirmed for me, that this is a good
time for me to be working and creating alone.
