i've just started to swatch
for a pair of mittens.
My work-horse, 2 layer, knit mittens
have worn out. and it's
now the season
to have your mittens at-the-ready.
My friend in Ontario has already
reported snow on the ground.

This project was
so much fun to work on.
I have never knit anything so large.
It did take me a Very long time, but it
was such an enjoyable project all the way
along.
it now is large enough to cover
a queen size bed.
That's a lot of knitting.
At the start of
the month,
i showed you a
photo of a huge box of wool.
Here, i share with you the centre piece
of that project.
This is the start of a big blanket.
it's made of washable wool
and knit on 4.5mm needles.
