sky.
clouds.
Autumn. . . .
I adore the dramas of
autumn skies.

my first pizza

hello to my first attempt at
making pizza. I think it looks
quite nice.

and below,
a recipe from Nigella Lawson:
this is Sweet corn pudding.
It's not a dessert, but a tasty corn
cocotion that's baked in the oven.
I can highly recommend this.

hungry

in the autumn, i always
get very hungry.
Summertime
heat has me feeling like
NOT cooking . . . or eating for that matter.

The fresh, cool temperatures
of the autumn call for cocooning.

Above, you will see some
fingerling potatoes having a bath...

Below are teeny tiny onions.
The kitchen was a toasty place
over the past weekend. And it all
turned out to be quite delicious.

shoes can make you feel good

There is a vast number
of reasons

why shoes are important to

so many
people.
This fabulous card sits on the
mantle in my living room.

I still love these gorgeous
red and black shoes. . . .

local news that's not local

in family news,
my parents are in China right now.

my most exotic "eastern" experience in
the past year was at the restaurant
Spice Market.

and that's in Manhatten.
I can tell you it was delicious.

this and that

we've had a lot of construction
on our street since May of this year.

I think the construction is officially

over for the year, however
we still
have these
suspicious numbers all over the sidewalks.

Who really knows what they mean?

when you walk along,
they seem quite
random.

in unrelated news,
i stopped by Joe's Cow
recently. This lovely bovine
lives in front of the
Musee des beaux arts
here in Montreal.

and,
oh look,

the museum's Gift shop now
has a Link - so you can
shop online at the
